V you should know I am ALL IN on that one. I have a couple of close friends in that lineup, and it was really when the Radiators and Neville Brothers got me into Fess (and Earl King and other "obscure legends" as I would call them) that I began my real lifelong passion for Nola music. From Fess I found James Booker and it's all been downhill since!! It's 18+ too, so I may drag my home-from-college daughter. Maybe the "obscure legends" of music will get recorded one day by our "famous unknown taper" from a few weeks ago (cracking self up this morning).

That is impressive since those cats must be quite a bit older. I enjoyed a bunch of those yesterday

To be clear, never saw Fess or Booker play live, only learned "of their music" from Rads and Nevilles. But some of my piano playing pals are on that tribute lineup for next month, including Cleary, Gros, and Zeke Fishhead (Ed Volker of Radiators glory). Should be epic.

To go back to the beginning, and yor first GD show, I liked your meeting Jerry story and the rant for a ticket.
I wonder if years later anyone would trade tomorrow for today?
I would say that while we have today, tomorrow is not promised to us.
And yet many live and work today to prepare for that tomorrow.
